Text Case Converter: Change Text to Upper, Lower and Title Case
Typed a whole paragraph with Caps Lock on, or need a title in the right style? A Text Case Converter changes the capitalization of any text in one click, so you never have to retype it.
What is a text case converter?
It is a tool that rewrites your text in a different letter case. Paste your words, press a button, and the capitalization changes instantly. It saves time for writers, students, marketers and developers.
Case styles explained
- UPPERCASE: every letter is a capital. Good for short warnings or labels.
- lowercase: every letter is small. Useful for tags, emails and clean data.
- Title Case: the first letter of each word is a capital. Common for headlines and book titles.
- Sentence case: only the first word of each sentence is a capital. Best for normal paragraphs.
- camelCase: words are joined with no spaces and each new word starts with a capital. Used in programming.
- snake_case: lowercase words joined with underscores. Common in databases and Python.
- kebab-case: lowercase words joined with hyphens. Popular in web addresses and CSS.
How to use the tool
- Type or paste your text into the box.
- Press the style you want, such as Title Case or snake_case.
- Press Copy text and paste it where you need it.
You can press different buttons one after another. If you want to start again, press Clear.
When is it useful?
- Fixing Caps Lock mistakes: turn an all-capitals paragraph back to normal in a second.
- Writing headlines: format blog titles and email subject lines consistently.
- Cleaning data: make names, tags and spreadsheet entries match.
- Coding: convert phrases into variable names in the style your project uses.
Tips for better results
- Check Title Case results. Many style guides keep small words like "of" and "the" in lowercase.
- Names with special capitals, such as "McDonald" or "iPhone", may need a quick manual fix.
- Use sentence case for readable body text and for web page headings, which are easier to scan.
Works with other languages
Letters that have uppercase and lowercase forms, such as accented Latin letters, are converted too. Scripts without capitals, such as Arabic, stay as they are.
Free and private
The converter runs in your browser. Your text is never uploaded or stored, and there is no sign up or login.
